This Safeguarding Policy sets out how TISA Network Ltd is committed to protecting the safety wellbeing and dignity of students and young people engaging with TISA services activities events and community spaces.
By using TISA services or participating in TISA activities you agree to this policy.

TISA Network Ltd is committed to creating a safe respectful and supportive environment for all students.
Safeguarding means protecting individuals from harm abuse neglect exploitation harassment or unsafe situations.

2. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to
• TISA members
• Leaders Navigators and volunteers
• Staff and contractors where applicable
• Partners and collaborators
• Event speakers and facilitators
It applies across all online and offline TISA activities.

3. Age and vulnerable groups
TISA services are intended for individuals aged fifteen and above.
We recognise that some students may be
• Young adults
• New to the UK
• Emotionally or socially vulnerable
• At risk due to isolation or lack of awareness
Safeguarding measures are applied with sensitivity and care.

4. What safeguarding covers
Safeguarding includes protection from
• Harassment bullying or abuse
• Discrimination or hate behaviour
• Sexual exploitation or misconduct
• Financial exploitation or scams
• Emotional harm or coercion
• Unsafe or inappropriate conduct
TISA does not tolerate behaviour that compromises safety or dignity.

5. What TISA does to safeguard
TISA takes reasonable steps to
• Set clear community standards
• Promote awareness and education
• Provide reporting routes for concerns
• Escalate serious matters responsibly
• Limit access to services where required
• Work with partners responsibly
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility.

6. What TISA does not do

TISA does not
• Investigate criminal matters
• Replace police or emergency services
• Provide medical or psychological treatment
• Act as a legal authority
Where appropriate concerns may be referred to official authorities.

7. Reporting safeguarding concerns
If you believe someone is at risk or you experience unsafe behaviour
• Report the concern as soon as possible
• Email care@tisauk.com
• Provide as much detail as you are comfortable sharing
Reports are handled sensitively and confidentially where possible.
Anonymous reports are also accepted.

8. Response to concerns
When a concern is raised TISA may
• Acknowledge the report
• Review information provided
• Offer guidance or signposting
• Restrict access where necessary
• Escalate to appropriate authorities if required
Actions are taken to prioritise safety.

9. Confidentiality and data
Safeguarding information is handled carefully.
Information is shared only
• On a need to know basis
• Where required by law
• To protect individuals from harm
Data handling follows our Privacy Policy.

10. Responsibilities of leaders and volunteers
Leaders Navigators and volunteers must
• Act responsibly and ethically
• Maintain appropriate boundaries
• Avoid abuse of trust or influence
• Report safeguarding concerns promptly
• Follow all TISA policies
Failure to do so may result in removal.

11. Limitation of responsibility
While TISA takes safeguarding seriously
We cannot control all interactions or external environments.
Participation in activities is voluntary and at individual discretion.

12. Review of this policy
This Safeguarding Policy is reviewed periodically and updated where necessary.
Updated versions will be published on the website.
