This Volunteer Policy explains the nature expectations and limitations of volunteering with TISA Network Ltd.
By participating in any volunteering activity associated with TISA you agree to this policy.

1. About volunteering at TISA
Volunteering opportunities are offered by TISA Network Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, operating under the brand The International Students Association.
Important clarification
TISA is not a government organisation or statutory body.
Volunteering with TISA does not create any legal authority or official representation.

2. Nature of volunteering
Volunteering with TISA
• Is optional and voluntary
• Is unpaid unless explicitly stated in writing
• Does not create an employment relationship
• Does not create worker or contractor status
• Does not guarantee future employment or benefits
Participation is based on interest availability and suitability.

3. Who can volunteer
You may volunteer if you
• Are a TISA member or approved participant
• Meet any stated eligibility criteria
• Are able to participate responsibly and ethically
Volunteering opportunities may be limited by availability location or project scope.

4. Volunteer activities
Volunteer activities may include
• Community support and engagement
• Event assistance and coordination
• Awareness campaigns and outreach
• Digital support content or social initiatives
• Collaboration activities with partners
Activities vary and may change without notice.

5. Expectations and conduct
Volunteers are expected to
• Act respectfully and responsibly
• Follow TISA policies and guidelines
• Maintain confidentiality where required
• Avoid providing professional advice
• Represent TISA ethically and accurately
Volunteers must follow the Community Guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times.

6. Time commitment
• Volunteering is flexible
• No minimum hours are guaranteed
• Participation depends on availability and need
• Volunteers may stop at any time
TISA may also end volunteer participation at its discretion.

7. Expenses and costs
• Volunteers are responsible for their own expenses unless stated otherwise
• No reimbursement is guaranteed
• Any approved expenses must be agreed in advance in writing

8. Health safety and risk
Volunteers participate at their own discretion.
TISA is not responsible for
• Personal injury
• Loss of property
• Travel related incidents
• Third party actions
Volunteers should take reasonable care of their own safety.

9. Data and privacy
Volunteer data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Volunteers must also respect the privacy and confidentiality of others.

10. Termination of volunteering
TISA may end volunteer participation
• At any time
• Without notice where required
• Without obligation to provide reasons
Termination does not affect general membership unless separately stated.

11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TISA Hub Ltd is not liable for
• Loss or damage
• Injuries
• Outcomes arising from volunteering activities
Participation is entirely voluntary and at the volunteer’s own risk.

12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time.
Updated versions will be posted on the website.
Continued participation indicates acceptance.

13. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
